WEBSITE DESIGN/DEVELOPMENT
Designing websites first became a passion of mine when I started surfing the web in 1996, and the World Wide Web was in the early stags. I began looking into how websites were created, and I was able to be a part of Environment Canada building a billingual website for the Hydrology Division using their printed literature. After working with a side department for an additional contract, I took a Multimedia Web Development course in 2001. However, at this time the tech sector was going through an extremely tough time, so I looked at other career options. However, with the new emerging technologies being used on the web, I took a wonderful opportunity at Public Health Agency Of Canada in web development. I feel more energized than ever about web design and development is going, and would love to be along for the ride.

COMPUTER SUPPORT/REPAIR
My experience with computer support and repair was started in 2005, when I attended the Willis College of Business and Technology. I was enrolled in the Technical Support Specialist program, and recieved my MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) for Installing, Configuring and Administating Windows XP Professional. During this time, I also recieved my Microsoft A+ Certification. After this course, I had the opportunity to work at Staples Business Depot at a PC technician, and moved onto Dell Hardware Support, where we assisted their business customers with hardware support. We eventually moved onto supporting non-business customers, and I have to say it was a rewarding experience. Although I work on web development and design as my main career objective, I also enjoy focusing on computer repair and support whenever I can....

My professional career background has expanded nearly 14 years, mainly in the area of IT field. The experience that I have gathered within this time has been well served and developed into a solid foundation of knowledge, dedication to my craft, and research of new and emerging technologies. In adittion to learning many technical skills, I have also had the opportunity to learn soft skills that have allowed me to prosper in the selected job position, and I feel that I could be a valuable commodity in many different roles in an IT environment.

During my spare time, I have also worked and developed my skills in other programs that are not related to my resume, but may be relevant or an asset for future knowledge. Shown is the program/software that I have studied, and the amount of time (based in years) that I have used this program.
